The number of desks needed comes from a flex ratio, in desks per person, which falls as remote work rises:

This scale and the 8 m² per desk basis are an indicative convention, taken from a public calculator on the market (September 2026): neither a standard nor a measurement of your buildings. Replace them with your own figures as soon as you have them.

Between two rows, the ratio follows a straight line: 2.5 days give 0.65 desk per person.
If you give the peak-day attendance, the need is the larger of the two: the scale or the peak.
Area freed = desks freed × area per desk.
Energy reduction = share of the area freed, at constant use per m² (heating, lighting and ventilation follow floor area).
